Pegasus Tech

Scans the vehicle for better washing

Pegasus Tech is postulated as the state-of-the-art technology in the car wash world since it is fast, precise and has a fluid movement providing highly efficient results. Despite all these significant characteristics, the main feature of this type of Rollover Units, which makes it more effective, allowing to serves up to 15 vehicles per hour or 1500 vehicles per month, is an integrated system of vehicle scanning. The vehicle is scanned allowing any shape to be washed in complete safety.

Pegasus has a compact and strong design: the compact dimensions allow a grade performance in a narrow space. It also provides the ability to optimize the spaces in the washing bays and facilitate the installation in narrow or pre-existing sites: thanks to the bending foam arms, space can be reduced by 30 cm more. With the standard length rails of 9 metres is possible to carry out a complete wash of a 5,3m long vehicle. A standard rail length is 9000 mm. The typical space needed in front of the vehicle is 1690 mm. A space needed behind the vehicle: 2000 mm. A maximum vehicle length is 5300 mm. By increasing the length of the rail, the washing length will be increased by the same length:

  • 9 m rail length - 5,3 m vehicle length;
  • 10 m rail length - 6,3 m vehicle length;
  • 11 m rail length - 7,3 m vehicle length.

By diminishing the length of the rail, the washing length will be decreased by the same length. 

  • 9 m rail length - 5,3 m vehicle length;
  • 8 m rail length - 6,3 m vehicle length;
  • 7 m rail length - 7,3 m vehicle length.

The installation of this device in short bays allows an increase of the washing length of at least 60 cm. Maximum vehicle’s wash length with standard rails will be 5,9 m. With the installation of the short-track device, the washing length can be increased by 1,3 m in relation to the standard. Maximum vehicle’s wash length with standard rails will be 6,6 m.

A solid structure and the reliability of Pegasus Tech are mainly due to the development of the machine without the use of welding in assembly. Importantly, the profitable of this type of highly efficient unit is starting from 450 washes per month until 1500 washes per month. How does Pegasus Tech operate?

The washing process includes 2 main phases: the first washing phase with rotating brushes, followed by the drying phase (with max consumption 15,84 kW) during which the water is blown away from the vehicle surface by means of high-pressure air flows. The brushes action is supported by the distribution of water and chemicals. Before the drying phase, some wax is distributed on the vehicle in order to make the water flow and obtain a polish finishing of the surfaces. In addition to the phases of washing and drying, the Pegasus Tech unit can carry out other processes that can be generally summed up in: pre-washing phase and polishing phase.

A complete washing process is carried out according to the following sequence of operations:

  • pre-washing,
  • washing,
  • polishing,
  • drying.

Furthermore, each phase can be carried out in different ways. The machine offers multiple choices also in the application of special products which help along the washing and finishing operation such as the pre-wash cleaners, the waxes, the polishing products and the osmotic water.

SMART SHAPE SYSTEM and PROFILE CONTROL TECH

Pegasus Tech has an integrated system of vehicle scanning that makes the process more precise, giving the highly-efficient result. The unit is equipped with an intelligent and sensitive system that detects and stores accurately the contour of the vehicle and the special shapes by a photocell set, adjusting the washing and drying components instantly. The action is fluid, with no stops.

The Profile Control Tech system integrates these features with the SMART SHAPE system (intelligent brush control) so that pick-ups, ski boxes, bicycle racks are not a problem anymore, even in self-service. The wash is safer and faster. The cleaning is more accurate.

Pegasus Tech is available in two following versions:

  • PREMIUM ( a unit with the contour following drying and high-pressure blade);
  • AIR PLUS ( a unit with the swirling air-flow drying system).

PREMIUM VERSION is characterized by the horizontal high pressure, wash and drying phases being contoured on the car. The water jets and the air flows are directed by an asymmetrical deflector to be able to perfectly follow the vehicle’s shape also in the front and in the back of the car.

AIR PLUS VERSION. The rotation of the water and air supply systems is the winning solution to improve the washing and drying results. The high pressure sprayed with a synchronous movement, not only gives the client a marvellous perception of quality.

The top dryers generate oscillating air flows with an elliptical trajectory optimal for the natural flow of the water on the car and so down on the ground: this guarantees a great combination between wash and dry. The combined and synchronized action of the rotation/translation and the possibility to customize the speed of the air plus system, determine an effective, safe and appreciated washing/drying result.

Furthermore, all versions can be supplied with different working heights and widths.

PHOENIX TECH 2.0

Flexible and easy-to-use. The beginning of excellence

The simplicity of installation and utilization with great performance makes Phoenix Tech 2.0 an extremely productive unit. There are two basic versions: Phoenix Premium (unit with a contour following drying blade) and Phoenix Air Plus (unit with swirling air-flow drying system). The washing performance of both versions is up to 1200 washes/month. That means this model can service up to 12 vehicles/hour.

PHOENIX TECH DESIGN:

Phoenix Tech has a solid structure and reliability due to the development of the machine without the use of welding in assembly. Premium version is characterized by the horizontal blade that follows the contour of the vehicle. During the drying phase the air flow is directed by an adjustable two positions flap, to precisely follow the vehicle profile, especially in front and at the back. The horizontal high pressure is composed of two oscillating rotating jet nozzles, which work on two levels, and they are placed in the corners of the drying blade. This option offers the added value to the wash programs.

The display which is positioned on the column highlights the icons so the vehicle could be placed in the right position.

Turbo Side Dryer Standard (TSD) is the perfect solution to prevent the ‘dead spot’ during the drying phases: in fact, with the conventional dryers, the flows that cross between the side and top dryers create a vortex in the middle, and this vortex lets some air flow to dissolve before they touch a vehicle.

In this version, TSD eliminates the vortex and the dispersion of air flow. The drying result is much more accurate. The full height of lateral dryers has been improved by reducing the acoustic impact.

Air Plus Version has a Wheel Master system. It is developed to wash the wheels, the side of the car and all lower parts of the vehicles. The system is operated by two high-pressure nozzles. Due to a great combination between the power of the high pressure and the softness of the brush, Wheel Master guarantees an excellent washing result even in hard-to-reach spots. Wheel Master is made of stainless steel. It supports such combinations as only detergent supply, only high pressure, only brushes, or a combination of those. The rim chemical is sprayed with the same nozzles of the high pressure. As a result, this provides more accurate delivering of the chemical products to the rim.

Phoenix Tech 2.0 is equipped with a Profile Control Tech. It has been implemented as a standard feature: the profile of the vehicle is contoured in detail. As a result, it provides more accurate washing quality with the combination of the reduced washing time thanks to the implementation of INVERTERS for the control of the brushes. The delicate touch of the brushes is guaranteed even at high speeds.

Phoenix Tech 2.0 unit can be installed with the onboard high-pressure system. This feature makes the installation much easier, saves space, and decreases the costs.

Up to four chemicals are used to take care of your vehicle.

PRE-WASHING: the emollient maximum car care: The possibility to set the emollient is optional, it is supplied by a dedicated arch for better pre-wash preparation. The emollient can be hot or cold, foamed or in the combination of both.

HIGH-PRESSURE WATER FLOWS FOR THE HEAVY DIRT: You can do a lateral washing under high or medium pressure to prepare the vehicle before the brushing phase.

PRE FOAM PREVENTIVE PROTECTION: According to Ceccato’s design, a foamed shampoo must be supplied simultaneously during the brushing phase. This simple and effective way guarantees accuracy and softness during the washing phase. The customer can notice the quality, while the foam is spread by the brushes all over the vehicle.

POLISHING: The foamed polish is wind- and sun proof, it is resistant to all weather conditions, and it does not need a pre-drying phase before the application. The foam polishing can be supplied even during the first brushing run. As a result, the brushes runs are reduced to two runs instead of four. This system combines vehicle protection and minimal time costs.

PRE-WASHING SYSTEM
The pre-washing system is operated by the usage of arches with nozzles, in which emollients and water are sprayed at medium pressure. The arches are embedded in the structure of the machine and hidden by pre-galvanized and powder coated plates.

ROBO WASH
The Robo Wash is a rotating nozzle installed in both sides of the machine near the wheel washer. The water sprayed in high pressure helps to remove the dirt on the lower part of the car but especially in the wheel cavity.

WHEEL WASHER SYSTEM
The wheel washer is built inside a plastic designed carter in which, besides giving to the machine better and more attention-grabbing look, preserves the mechanic parts from external factors and eventual damages.


BRUSHES MOVEMENT

HYPERION TECH

The fastest dual gantry on the market

HYPERION TECH is the updated patent of the historic Tandem model combines speed and a top-class washing performance. Moreover, this model is 2-3 times more productive compared to other types of car washes.  This is due to the fact that Hyperion Tech with twofold productivity: while one gantry washes, the other dries. The lay-out of the two programmable gantries allows for quick and flexible washing and drying management, significantly reducing overall operation times. As a result, it serves up to 20 vehicles/hour, this is about 2000 cars per month.

HYPERION TECH DESIGN

Design plays a central role in Ceccato’s strategic vision, so manufacturers have created HYPERION TECH as a compact, reliable system with functional and minimalist qualities, but a distinctive design. The solid structure and the reliability of the Hyperion Tech are mainly due to the development of the machine without the use of welding in assembly. In addition, this model has a simple and intuitive interface, activation with chipcard or electronic key and remote management.

ELASTIC WASH 

The washing process is optimized in three dimensions. The side brushes in Hyperion Tech are installed before the horizontal brush. This allows washing perfectly 5m length vehicles, even within 9m rails. The advantage is to install a double gantry in an extremely limited space.

THE DISPLAYS

The displays placed on the front and rear of the system are no longer simple message screens but customer-service tools. Displays placed on columns are made up of backlit icons, making them easy to read by the customers while still in their vehicle.

Furthermore, this model is distinguished by the horizontal action of the device, equipped with safety bars along the sides, which carries out the pre-wash, wash and dry phases. The device follows along the vehicle’s profile in perfect alignment, which is memorized in real time. The jets of water and air are directed by an asymmetrical deflector in order to follow the vehicle’s silhouette with maximum precision. The freedom to program and optimize, a hallmark of all Hyperion Tech parts, it duplicates pass cycles at high pressure, with emollient and during the drying phase, ensures a noticeable improvement in wash times, making for a thorough clean.

TSD TURBO SIDE DRYER

TSD turbo side dryer of Hyperion Tech is the solution for eliminating the 'dead spot' typical of most drying phases. In fact, often as the vertical and horizontal currents intersect, they create a vortex which makes the drying less efficient.  TSD places itself between the two currents, eliminating that vortex, giving a perfectly dry vehicle. The improved lateral dryer runs the full height of the car and features increased motor power and noticeably quieter performance.

HEIGHTENED OPTIMISATION

The system’s productivity and efficiency are proportional to the ability to personalize the wash phases/ timing and to combine different functions. Hyperion Tech is the most efficient double gantry in the Car Wash market. This means a greater result with the fewest passages. WHEEL MASTER

This model has a built-in Wheel Master system, which is designed for washing the vehicles’ tires, sides, and underside. INDOOR INSTALLATION

The washing unit HYPERION TECH can be installed in closed bays. In compliance with the applicable technical norms, if the machine is installed in a closed bay, there shall be at least 50 cm of free space (2) around the perimeter (1) which encloses the working area of the unit. When the necessary space is restricted, for example by columns, the minimum safety distance must be increased by the size of said obstacles. If for any reason, such space is not available, it is compulsory to install specific safety devices. If the safety devices are installed later on, for example after moving the machine to another site, the engineer in charge of the installation shall supply an updated handbook, or add following documents to the existing manual:

  • technical cards and drawings;
  • commercial components certificates;
  • description of system operation;
  • analysis of risks.

OPEN AIR INSTALLATION

It is necessary to leave at least 100 cm free space (2) around the perimeter (1) which encloses the working area of the unit. The area should be marked by yellow and black stripes (delivered with the machine) on the floor (3). The stripes shall be fixed to the floor after completing the installation of the machine and before the unit is handed over to the customer. The information signs dedicated to the operation area must be fixed to suitable support boards that will be placed on the external perimeter of the wash bay in such a way that they can be easily seen by customers.

MIXED INSTALLATIONS 

“Mixed” are those open air installations where there are some side and/or front limitations. In these cases it is necessary to comply with the norms in force for both types of installation; for the open air part it is compulsory to limit the dangerous area with yellow and black stripes, while for the area with side or front obstacles the same safety devices used in the closed bays should be installed.

HYPERION TECH is a washing center for vehicles with two independent mobile gantries. This means that the two gantries roll over the vehicle several times to wash and dry it, whereas the vehicle remains stationary for the whole cycle time. The process includes a first washing phase with rotating brushes, followed by the drying phase during which the water is blown away from the vehicle surface by means of high-pressure air flows. The brushes action is supported by the distribution of water and washes chemicals. Before the drying phase, some wax is distributed on the vehicle in order to make the water flow and obtain a polish finishing of the surfaces.HOW DOES HYPERION TECH WORK?

In addition to the phases of washing and drying, the HYPERION TECH unit can carry out other processes that can be generally summed up in: pre-washing phase and polishing phase. A complete washing process is carried out according to the following sequence of operations:

  1. Pre-washing,
  2. Washing,
  3. Polishing,
  4. Drying.

Each phase can be carried out in different ways. The machine offers multiple choices also in the application of special products which help along the washing and finishing operation such as the pre-wash cleaners, the waxes, the polishing products and the osmotic water.

The HYPERION TECH units are equipped with options such as:

  1. Systems for the distribution of hot/cold pre-wash cleaner, inclinable for the front and rear of the vehicle.
  2. Systems for the distribution of active foam, white and Multicolor®.
  3. A pre-washing system with side and top high-pressure water arches following the vehicle’s contour and nozzles that can be oriented to clean the front and rear parts.
  4. A pre-washing system with side and top medium pressure water arches following the vehicle’s contour and nozzles that can be oriented to clean front and rear parts.

The two mobile units are called 'washing gantry' and 'drying gantry'. The first one is equipped with the brushes and the water and foam delivery system. The second one is equipped with the drying fans, the high-pressure water system, the nozzles for the pre-wash cleaner, wax, hot wax, sonax, and with other specific groups such as the wheel wash brushes WheelMaster. Using the two separate and independent gantries, a partial overlapping of the brush wash and the drying operation can be obtained when needed. Another advantage is that the wheel wash (when the group is installed) can be carried out without stopping the brush wash. These specific features of the double gantry washing unit allow an increase of productivity of about 20-30%, compared to single gantry machines.

The structure and principles of operation of the tunnel

The system allows the configuration of a very wide range of different washing tunnels. Hercules Tunnels could be subdivided into the following sections: entry pre-wash; Wheel-wash; high pressure; brushes; wax; drying; and exit.

The entrance is equipped with a self-aligning platform with a roller or sliding element; entrance front with a traffic light (optional); and activation device with a touch-screen interface.

Drying phase provided by the wax dispensing arc; superwax dispensing arc (optional); felt separation curtain (optional); horizontal drying with contour following blade; side drying with pair of fixed blades; extra horizontal drying with a contour following blade.

The conveyor system is embedded at floor level. Starting and stopping of the conveyor are carried out automatically. The push rollers are equipped with the protection devices to prevent the accidental placing of the foot under the roller. The conveyor frame is without wheel guides and is equipped with a new type of "covered" towing chain which improves the dragging of the vehicles with low-profile tires. A wheel correlator system and a roller positioning device are installed on the conveyor entry side to facilitate the introduction of the vehicle.

Working Skills

The dimensions of the vehicle to be washed must not exceed these characteristics:

  • Maximum vehicle width 2100 mm;
  • Maximum vehicle height 2300 mm.

The wheelbase of the vehicle to be washed must be between a minimum of 1950 mm and a maximum of 2950 mm. Importantly, the width of the vehicle tires must not exceed 350 mm.

Electrical equipment

The electrical system is made according to the current European regulations, the electrical components of the leading international brands are of high quality. The entire system is managed by programmable logic (PLC). The vehicle counters are password protected like each engine is individually protected against overloads and short circuits. The installation can operate with power supply:

  • 400 Volt + 10% and 50/60 Hz frequency.

Hydropneumatic equipment

The pneumatic circuit is equipped with a pressure switch. The water supply is split: it is designed to feed the system both with fresh and recycled water. The system is equipped with manual flow regulators on each spray arc and with automatic condensate drainage from the inlet air filter.

Winter discharge

The system is equipped with solenoid valves for winter drainage of the water circuit, against possible winter frosts. The activation takes place via a guided choice from the operator panel and temperature probe.

Self-diagnosis

The system software monitors the operation of all parts of the washing plant. In the event of a failure, the control device displays an error code indicating the cause of the failure. This function often prevents the intervention of the Technical Assistance Service or, in any case, makes the intervention more efficient as the call can give the operator more accurate information on the nature of the failure. The HERCULES line applies the "fault-tolerant" philosophy: the total shutdown of the system happens only in case of failures that concern the main parts necessary for the washing cycle and for the safety of people or things. In other cases, the failure is signaled by the diagnostic device, and the cycle continues with the self-exclusion of the failed part.

Following consumption data refer to a washing tunnel equipped with:

STRUCTURE

Structures are self-supporting, fixed to the floor with expansion dowels. The steelwork is made in hot galvanized steel, with screw-in bolts and self-locking stainless steel nuts. The coating is of polyurethane powder type, deposited electrostatically and polymerized with a high-temperature oven. Minimum space required for MiniMax is 20 meters including entry and exit areas.

The operation can be done through the Operator Panel in the activation panel of the system. The device allows communicating directly with the PLC from the washing plant. The operator can easily read or modify the data on the PLC itself.

SELF-DIAGNOSIS
The system software monitors the operation of all parts of the washing plant. In the event of a failure, the control device displays an error code indicating the cause of the failure. The basic configuration of the system consists of six main sections:
1. Conveyor;
2. Entry with a wetting section with shampoo;
3. Wash section with inclined vertical half brushes;
4. Washing section with a horizontal brush;
5. Washing section with vertical brushes;
6. Drying section.

Step 1: At the entrance of the tunnel, there is the photocell system to detect the vehicle presence and to identify whether the vehicle is a van. When the vehicle is in position, the automatic cycle can start. The start of the cycle coincides with the departure of the towing chain and with the start of the vehicle position control system throughout its path inside the tunnel. Position control allows the startup sequence of the workgroups. A traffic light at the entrance of the tunnel regulates the vehicle’s access.

 

Step 2: Vehicle surface treatment section. Before the activation of the brushes, the surface of the vehicle is wet with shampoo dispensed by two columns of side nozzles. The same arcade integrates the foam nozzles. 

Brushes: The first group that activates when the vehicle arrives is the two half tilting brushes mounted each on a structure that can rotate at 90° towards the center of the tunnel. Brushes are initially at the center of the tunnel and gradually open to the vehicle passage to close again on the back of the vehicle. During rotation, the brushes are wet with a series of nozzles applied to the structure as shown in the picture. The water used in this phase is normally recycled water. 

The second group in the sequence is the horizontal brush equipped with vertical movement. During rotation, the brush is wet with recycled water dispensed by a horizontal arch applied to the upper crossbeam. During the brush rotation, the engine absorption is checked to detect anomalies that could be caused by collisions or clogging of the bristles with the vehicle’s edges.

The third working group consists of two independent vertical rotating brushes mounted on a longitudinally mobile motorized trolley. Each brush can move freely along the guides of the trolley’s crossbeam thanks to a motorized unit. The longitudinal run of the trolley is 2200 mm.

Functioning: At the beginning of the cycle, the brushes are positioned on the center line of the tunnel. The washing of the front of the vehicle starts with a series of alternating movements to the right and to the left (“ballet”). During this phase, the trolley moves with the vehicle and in the proximity of the limit switch, the brushes are positioned at the corners of the front of the vehicle. At this point, the brushes incline, thanks to the action of pneumatic jacks. The inclined position allows a more effective bristle action on the upper part of the vehicle since the lower part has previously been washed by the first group at the entrance. During this phase, the trolley moves longitudinally to prepare for a new run. The direction of rotation of the vertical brushes is inverted before washing the back of the vehicle. The back of the vehicle is washed in the same way as the vehicle front. At the end of the cycle, the brushes are located centrally and the carriage is in the back position awaiting the next vehicle. During rotation, the brushes are wet with nozzles mounted on the crossbar of the carriage. Engine absorption is also checked to detect anomalies that could be caused by collisions or clogging of the bristles with the vehicle’s appendages.

Step 3: Was Arch. Through this system, the vehicle is wetted with a mix of fresh water and wax that, on the vehicle surface, replace the water used during the washing cycle. In this way water drops, that by nature don’t adhere to the vehicle surface, easily glide under the action of the air flows, produced by the following drying group.

Step 4: Drying. The drying group is divided into two working sections, a vertical and a horizontal one. The horizontal section is made by two blowing blades built on a motorized device, creating a rotating swing around its ax, with variable speed. Each blade is feed by a 3kW fan. The blade’s diameter is 180 mm. The vertical section is composed of two vertical counterposed blades, integrated into the columns. These are equipped by a fan of 3kW (or 4kW for the 60 Hz version) installed on the top of the same columns.

LFO

The ideal system for managing fleets of buses and trucks with minimum management cost

LFO is a drive-through system for large fleets. It is the perfect solution for washing public and private vehicles for commuters. Flexibility, speed and high performance, combined with minimum costs of management, make it an ideal tool for washing buses or trams up to 60 vehicles/hour (6000 vehicles per month). Sturdy structure and simple assembling guarantee an extremely reliable solution ideal for managing a Medium/Large vehicles fleet size.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

Programmable automatic washing plant developed to match requirements of high productivity with a high-quality standard, at the same time containing the level of the investment. LFO is composed of a steel structure, made up of six/eight flanged columns and anchored to the ground. Columns are connected among each other with crossbars. Electrical and pneumatic connection run inside of these crossbars. All the structural and hydraulic parts are treated and protected against corrosion and rust.

Vertical brushes connected to the frame with oscillating arms: this system allows a 'flag' movement for washing front, sides and rear of the vehicles. Pneumatic cylinders determine the opening and closing of the movement. The pressure of the brushes is pneumatically controlled. The “jumping mirror” operation is guaranteed. Horizontal brush produces a swinging movement, controlled by a counterweight system to keep the brush on the roof of the vehicle at a constant pressure. Pneumatic cylinders - controlled by solenoid valves and flush regulators - determine the vertical and horizontal brushes movement. Bristles in polyethylene filaments are assembled on modular supports coupled to the rotating shaft fixed with bolts. This allows quick replacement when necessary. It is completed with control photocells for the operation to control the position and the passage during the washing process. 

LFO has Green and Red traffic lights for vehicle fleet control. Electrical panel with PLC can be positioned on board or remoted. LFO includes 2 pumps of 3 hp each supplying the washing / rinsing sectors. The power differs for the front and the front-rear (rinsing). In this way, recycled water can be used for the first phase (washing) and fresh water for the second pump (rinse). LFO has also alarm system “too high speed” with an acoustic signal.

MODELS

The range includes various washing heights and number of brushes and accessories depending on needs and requests. The LFO unit has four basic versions with 4, 5, 6 and 7 brushes realized to allow a maximum working height of 4,50 m. The '4 brushes' version is available in a closed structure as well as in the open version for tram wash with a pantograph, without the crossbars on the top.

WASH PROGRAMS

The operation of the machine is based on the execution of a number of instructions that makes up the wash program. There are two activation modes of the washing programme (the selection is configured at the time of plant start-up from the operating board):

  • Semi-automatic. The operator enters the bay with the vehicle and when it intercepts the sensor the traffic light switches from green to red. At this point the operator must stop the vehicle and has the option of selecting the washing programme on the keyboard through the “programme selection”  buttons, if different from the one desired, and 'start-up' the programme by pressing 'START'. A horn, which lasts 0.5 seconds, is sounded signaling the beginning of the washing cycle.
  • Automatic. The operator must select the desired programme number, if different from the one pre-selected, through the “programme selection” buttons. The operator enters the bay with the vehicle and when it intercepts the sensor the traffic light switches from green to red. At this point, the operator must stop the vehicle. A horn,  which lasts 0.5 seconds, is sounded signaling the beginning of the washing cycle.

The washing plant executes the washing programme if the 'start' button is pushed (semiautomatic mode) or if the sensor detecting vehicle entrance is activated (automatic mode). Therefore, the selection of a different programme than the one loaded must be executed:

  • before moving the vehicle in automatic mode;
  • with the vehicle stopped on the entrance activation sensor in semi-automatic mode.

Up to 4 different washing programmes can be selected through the push button panel located at the bay entrance. The selected programme is signaled by the “programme selection” lamps with a steady light.

LFC is the solution for washing the fleet of vehicles for public and private transportation to be installed in small available areas. This unit has a capacity of about 30 Vehicles per hour. Electromechanical operation with photocells activation, makes really accurate washing, also including some necessary functions such as “mirrors controls”. The system can be equipped on request with some arches for emollients, wax and eventually drying system.

THE IDEAL SOLUTION FOR THE MONO BRUSH WASHING

Roll Wash is the one-brush system proposed by Ceccato for manual operation. Washing height is 4.10 m. Strongly built with galvanized steel, the unit is equipped, unlike the competition, with an articulated arm to easily turn around the vehicle with power cables and water piping for washing operation, in order to avoid cables and pipes being placed disordered on the floor. The ideal washing solution for industrial vehicles

Baltic is the perfect washing unit for buses, cars, trucks, vans, articulated cars, tanker trucks, garbage collection, and transportation vehicles, dump trucks, military vehicles and special vehicles in general. The system is manufactured with a hot and/or painted galvanized structure (optional) and is equipped with inverters for the movement. It is equipped with dosing pumps for chemicals, emergency stop system, automatic winter discharge (when required) and anti-tipping system. Depending on the configuration, the system could be supplied with a single or triple slotted handle, depending on the length of the rails, or with a caterpillar on columns, wall or floor.

Gantry

Mobile gantry for washing overground and underground trains

Gantry is a mobile high-power washing unit, which provides high-pressure washing of individual carriages or fixed compositions. This powerful wash is a perfect solution not only for single train carriages but for short vehicles too.

The number of brushes varies according to the vehicle to wash and can be combined with high-pressure washing to always achieve the best possible quality. The electronically-controlled unit can be programmed based on the type of carriage.

Ceccato has a number of well-defined models for car washes, however, the company "builds" the train wash system according to customer requirements. Importantly, Ceccato does not develop a new machine each time, but just creates a new configuration using defined sections:

Drive-through

The train washing system for large fleets

Drive-through is an example of the many solutions and projects available for washing trains of all shapes. Designed for overground and underground trains, trams and railway vehicles in general, it consists of a sequence of modular stations dedicated to the cleaning of specific areas:

  • brushes for the sides, for the roof (diesel trains) or for the roof fittings eaves;
  • brushes for front and rear, even for inclined fronts or fronts with a complex design

The sequence of arches for applying the chemical products, rinsing and drying arches complete the washing unit.

Easy is the perfect solution for self-service systems due to its simplicity and reliability. With such features as compact and cost-efficient, Easy car washes surpass the other types in profitability. Easy self-service system with entry-level technology in the Ceccato range has one or two wash bays and maximum modularity. The device is enclosed in a stainless steel case. Doors are painted with pre-galvanized carbon steel. This self-service system accepts coins or tokens, after which the operator can wash the vehicle by selecting 5 washing steps.

THE VALUE OF ESSENTIALITY

EASY 1 Technology for self-service washing bays mounted into a technical cabinet. In this case, all the technical equipment is contained inside a galvanized and painted “Singlebay" cabinet (RAL7035 White) or other optional colours.

EASY 2 Technology for self-service washing bays mounted into a technical cabinet. In this case, all the technical equipment is contained inside a galvanized and painted “Doublebay” cabinet (RAL7035 White) or other optional colors.

SELF-SERVICE TECHNOLOGY

The technical equipment has been designed to meet modularity requirements.

Several units can be distinguished:

  • Optional unit for water treatment (water softener and osmosis);
  • High-pressure unit with pumps and distribution manifolds (Std);

The technology provides:

WASHING PROGRAMS

The standard washing programs are as follows:

  • Washing – carried out with a lance, softened hot water and shampoo;
  • Rinsing – carried out with high-pressure lance with cold water;
  • Waxing – performed with medium pressure lance with softened water and wax;
  • Rinsing with osmosis – is carried out with a medium pressure lance with demineralized water obtained with a reverse osmosis system.

The washing phases can be used by the user at will, even within the time made available by each individual token. The lifetime of the single token is set electronically by a program. The setting of the washing programs or phases can be changed via an operator panel.

It is possible to integrate the washing cycle with 2 further phases (optional):

  • Brush program. It is the washing program that involves the use of a specific brush, for cleaning the vehicle combined with a low-pressure supply of shampoo and hot water.
  • Wheel rims program. It is another washing program that provides the use of a different lance for the delivery of a specific product for cleaning and degreasing alloy rims.

OPTIONAL PROGRAMS

  1. FLEX SYSTEM BRUSH. With this accessory, at the expiry of the time/token, the end of the brush loses stiffness making it impossible to use the brush again, unless you insert another token.
  2. WATER TREATMENT. Water softening is a process that eliminates or significantly reduces water hardness through the use of ion-exchange resins that retain calcium and magnesium ions. These elements, which mainly determine the hardness of water, if they exceed certain concentrations, precipitate forming limescale deposits, as well as inducing a greater consumption of detergents.
  3. OSMOTISED WATER GENERATOR. A device that allows eliminating most of the salts present in the water, avoiding any deposit of limescale on the car and allowing an optimal final rinse. The 200 lt/h model is used for EASY2 technology. The osmotic water is produced by a plant based on the principle of reverse osmosis in which the solvent molecules pass from the most concentrated solution to a less concentrated solution, obtained by applying a higher pressure than the osmotic pressure to the more concentrated solution.

Labrador

The ultimate self-service system

A great variety of configuration choices and programs in a cabinet or technical room, with a new, elegant look makes Labrador the ultimate self-service system with international success. Thanks to the flexibility and modularity with up to 6 open or closed bays the Labrador Self-Service Washing Center provides the customer with a consolidated and reliable technology. Design and customization are developed in compliance with the urban architecture context. The controls and maintenance are facilitated by a centralized computerized system that allows checking the operation of each bay.

TECHNICAL CABINET

Labrador Technology for self-service washing bays can be mounted into a Technical Cabinet. In this case, all the technical equipment is lodged inside a galvanized and painted cabinet with CECCATO standard colors, or in a stainless steel cabinet. Depending on the technology to be installed it will be necessary to use a single cabinet (left) or a double cabinet (right).

TECHNICAL ROOM

Labrador Technology for self-service washing bays can be installed into a Technical Room. In this case, the equipment is lodged into a technical room 2.5 or 5 meters wide and 6 meters deep. This is placed between the bays in the standard configuration. Alternatively (if technically possible) it can be placed at the head of the washing bays.

WASHING ACTION

Step 1: phase of shampooing in high or low pressure (depending on the configuration of the machine, the shampoo will be dispensed in low or high pressure);
Step 2: high-pressure rinse phase, with softened water;
Step 3: phase of wax delivery;
Step 4: the last rinsing phase with osmotic water. The lance operates with a special bypass that allows the user to reach the maximum operating pressure gradually.

The double resin column water softener group consists of:

  •  n° 2 fiberglass cylinders;
  • cationic resin with high exchange capacity, with excellent regenerative and kinetic efficiency and good chemical-physical and thermal stability;
  • n° 1 Fleck 9000 automatic volumetric valve that controls the working and regeneration phases of both columns;
  • n° 1 self-supporting brine vat, in flat-bottom polyethylene, with lid closure. Equipped with cockpit and elbow for overflow;
  • 25 kg bags of salt for the regeneration of resins;
  • n° 1 kit for hardness measurement in the field.

Each element of the Labrador system has been designed to make the use of materials easy. The customer can choose, through the control panel, between a maximum of 7 programs depending on the configuration of the machine. Clear messages and signals guide the user during each washing phase to obtain a better final result. Each bay is equipped with light and handy lances. There are four types of lances available: one with a delicate brush to better remove traces of mud, insects and smog film from vehicles; one with a high pressure water jet for washing and rinsing operations; one dedicated to the application of specific detergents to deliver a foamed chemical both for a scenic effect and a washing effect. Moreover, the possibility of using softened and osmotic water ensures an optimal cleaning result of the vehicle. This professional system has a variety of configuration choices and programs in a cabinet or technical room, with a new, elegant look.
